IT Systems Engineer

- I will have you identify opportunities for optimizing and enhancing infrastructure. - You will lead and support infrastructure assessments, project scoping, and implementation. - Coordination and execution of customer infrastructure projects will be part of your role. - You will be responsible for creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation of systems and processes. - Collaboration with internal teams and clients to implement high-quality solutions will be expected. - I will assign you to monitor and maintain our IT infrastructure, including servers, workstations, networks, storage, hardware, software, security, and cloud platforms. - You will provide Tier 2/3 escalation support for complex technical issues. - Administration and optimization of both physical and virtual environments will be part of your tasks. - Planning and executing backup and business continuity/disaster recovery (BCDR) strategies will also be entrusted to you. - You will configure and maintain network infrastructure, including wireless access points, switches, routers, and firewalls. - A strong familiarity with TCP/IP stack protocols will be important as you configure routing protocols, VLANs, and subnetting. - Maintaining network security systems such as intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS) will be necessary. - You will implement and manage DNS filtering and email security tools. - Deployment and management of endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools such as SentinelOne, Huntress, and Bitdefender will be essential. - Utilizing Syslog and SNMP protocols with SIEM platforms to support system monitoring, alerting, and security event analysis will be part of your role. - Lastly, you will deploy and manage cloud platforms, particularly Azure and AWS, while developing and maintaining automation scripts using Python and PowerShell.
