You will design, develop, and implement scalable, high-performance applications and microservices utilizing Java for the backend and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) for the front end. You will contribute to all stages of the software engineering life cycle (SELC), including gathering requirements, designing architecture, coding, testing, deploying, and maintaining applications. Your tasks will also include developing and consuming RESTful APIs to ensure smooth integration between front-end and backend systems, modifying existing application code, conducting rigorous unit and system testing, and documenting application use cases, data flows, and functional operations. Additionally, you will manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, and deployments, and demonstrate a practical understanding of integrating rapid deployment processes for AI/ML services into application delivery frameworks.

Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies and a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle are highly valued. All applicants must be U.S. citizens capable of obtaining DHS CBP suitability clearance. Physical requirements include the ability to move within the office occasionally to engage with colleagues and customers, including delivering presentations. The annual pay for this position ranges from $140,000.00 to $160,000.00 and involves a hybrid working arrangement based in Ashburn, VA.
