We prioritize hands-on experience over formal educational qualifications for this role. Key qualifications include:
- Previous experience in technical support, desktop support, or a similar field.
- Proficiency in Windows, Linux, and Mac OS.
- Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software.
- Ability to install, modify, and perform minor repairs on computer hardware, including routers, switches, fiber optics, and CAT5/6 cables for various display systems.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, network design, and operating systems.
- Experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services) and other cloud technologies.
- Capacity to convey technical information clearly to non-technical clients and team members.
- Experience with issuing SSL Certificates.
- Knowledge in DNS registration and auto-renewals.
- Experience in managing third-party services such as payment gateways, email services, and social media platforms via their respective portals.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will be responsible for addressing technical inquiries from our users. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Identifying solutions for hardware and software issues.
- Troubleshooting a range of technical problems.
- Diagnosing and rectifying faults.
- Resolving networking issues effectively.
- Installing and configuring both hardware and software components.
- Engaging with customers to swiftly uncover the root of their issues.
- Providing timely and precise feedback to customers.
- Guiding users through a sequence of actions to solve their problems.
- Following up to confirm that issues have been successfully resolved.
- Replacing or repairing necessary hardware components.
- Assisting with the implementation of new applications.
- Drafting operational instructions to prepare reference materials for users.
- Managing multiple support cases concurrently.
- Testing and assessing new technologies.
- Researching advancements in technology to keep our projects current.
- Consulting with users to understand their hardware and software needs and facilitating order placements.
- Ensuring system capabilities by testing computer components.
- Documenting network processes, layouts, and enhancing network security.
Description
