Application Engineer - Production Equipment

- Provide front-end engineering and estimation support for sales in both standard and custom production equipment - Size and scope packaged Vapor Recovery Units for custom-built orders - Prepare detailed cost estimates using various data sources including past manufacturing history and technical specifications - Develop comprehensive customer proposals, outlining pricing, delivery, and all necessary documentation - Interface with sales teams and clients to offer technical support and product expertise - Collaborate with fabrication facilities, sub-vendors, and account managers to ensure the accuracy of estimates - Define and understand instrumentation requirements, with or without customer specifications - Interpret and analyze engineering drawings such as PFD, P&ID, and layout drawings - Utilize GPSA and API sizing methodologies for separator, vessel, control, and relief valve sizing - Prepare change order estimates in conjunction with engineering and project management - Assess cost-effectiveness of products or projects, monitoring actual costs against bids - Compile estimates for management to aid in the planning and scheduling of tasks
