Requirements
Must:
- Basic understanding of operating systems, including Windows and various Linux distributions.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure is advantageous.
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies like VMware and ESXi.
- Experience with databases including SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or NoSQL solutions.
- Understanding of computer networking principles such as DNS, VPNs, and TCP/IP protocols.
- Programming or scripting skills in Bash (Unix shell), Python, JavaScript, or Shell Scripting are beneficial.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools like Git and Jenkins is a plus.
- Knowledge of REST APIs for integration tasks.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing and maintaining cloud environments, such as AWS and Azure, to ensure high availability and security.
- Support virtualization frameworks including VMware and ESXi, executing routine updates and troubleshooting issues.
- Monitor and upkeep operating systems like Windows and Linux, applying necessary patches and updates.
- Configure and administer DNS, VPNs, and other networking elements to guarantee reliable connectivity.
- Work with databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and NoSQL databases, performing basic administration tasks.
- Develop scripts using Bash (Unix shell), Python, PowerShell, or Shell Scripting to automate repetitive tasks.
- Collaborate with development teams employing DevOps tools like Git, Jenkins, and REST APIs for continuous integration and deployment.
- Aid in troubleshooting networking issues, including TCP/IP configurations and firewall settings.
- Support container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes for deploying scalable applications.
- Contribute to the documentation of system configurations, procedures, and best practices.
