Requirements
Must:

- 10 years of experience in Oracle RMAN backup and recovery strategies
- 10 years of capabilities in tuning Oracle databases (queries, indexes, memory, I/O, storage)
- 10 years of familiarity with Oracle RAC and maintaining highly available environments
- 10 years of experience in executing Oracle database failovers
- 10 years of skill in writing complex SQL, functions, triggers, and objects
- 10 years of experience in troubleshooting Oracle databases
- 10 years of expertise in upgrading Oracle databases
- 10 years of proficiency in database security for Oracle systems
- 5 years of knowledge in operating Oracle databases in cloud environments like Azure and AWS
- 5 years of understanding automation and DevOps practices for databases
- 10 years of experience in database design, documentation, and coding
- 10 years of experience in designing and implementing reports and report interfaces
- 10 years of SQL experience
- Bachelors degree in IT or a related discipline or equivalent experience
- Oracle Certified Professional or higher
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and execute projects to support the increasing information needs of the District.
- Ensure effective utilization of District resources.
- Contribute to the development of policies related to process planning for new requirements.
- Maintain expert knowledge of the Structured Query Language (SQL) environment, focusing on planning, analysis, design, and implementation of reports and user interfaces.
- Engage in short-term tactical planning and implementation efforts.
- Participate in long-term strategic planning initiatives.
Description
We are OCTO, seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to oversee and sustain the central Oracle environment for the District.
