Senior Server Engineer

- Support a trading environment consisting of Windows 2016/2019/2022 servers while actively participating in project planning and implementation - Monitor the virtual environment for capacity, stress, risks, and workloads, taking necessary remediation steps - Build and support Microsoft Failover clusters, including stretch clusters - Oversee the Windows environment across the Americas for all business lines - Collaborate with vendors and internal global teams to ensure the environment adheres to current standards - Manage business continuity regarding disaster recovery - Maintain high levels of system reliability, availability, and resiliency - Provide first, second, and third-level support for production environments - Conduct proactive system performance monitoring using tools like Geneos and Dynatrace, alongside capacity management - Execute system upgrades and mandatory security/OS patching - Work with application support teams to gather requirements, design, and deploy standard systems - Implement projects across all business lines - Offer 24/7 on-call support on a rotational basis within the team - Conduct thorough morning checks on all critical applications using existing tools or scripts - Strictly adhere to company policies regarding change and incident management - Ensure all systems are deployed in line with group standards and best practices - Manage incidents and problems, taking ownership to resolve production-related issues - Follow the groups standard security practices in the environment - Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory
