Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related field)
- Understanding of vehicular systems and their integration
- Over 3 years of relevant experience in the heavy equipment sector
- Proficient in reliability and maintainability engineering
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Familiarity with CAD Modeling software and engineering documentation interpretation
- Strong mathematical background and statistics knowledge
- Advanced technical writing capabilities
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics
- Experience in repair and assembly of diesel and/or agricultural equipment
- Understanding of programming tools such as Arbor Text and VBA
- Familiarity with PTC products including Windchill, Creo, and Windchill Quality Solutions
- Experience in vendor development and support
Responsibilities
- Interpret and execute Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) requirements for government contracts
- Participate in vehicle design reviews to enhance maintainability based on engineering standards
- Analyze failure data and propose appropriate maintenance and repair strategies
- Create comprehensive operator, maintenance, and troubleshooting instructions
- Recommend design modifications to minimize failure risks and reduce maintenance needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to exceed customer expectations
- Conduct aftermarket supportability analysis focusing on maintainability
- Work closely with Test and Development teams and subcontractors to create support plans throughout the product lifecycle
- Utilize Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), and Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) for vehicle platform analysis
- Manage customer communications for requirement gathering and project execution
- Provide technical input during the various phases of design, prototype, pilot, and production
- Suggest and help implement Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) strategies
- Team up with aftermarket design, provisioning, publication, and validation teams to develop technical manuals and databases
- Work independently and report on program status proactively
- Prepare and present detailed technical reports as required
- Engage and participate in our People First culture
- Continuously seek out new systems and technologies to support vehicle logistics planning
