Requirements
Must:
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in Java development with strong expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Data, and RESTful API design.
- Proven ability to quickly comprehend and navigate large, unfamiliar codebases while understanding business context.
- Extensive experience with PostgreSQL or other relational/non-relational databases, including query optimization and schema design.
- Solid familiarity with AWS services, particularly ECS (Fargate/EC2), ECR, CloudWatch, RDS, S3, and IAM.
- Practical experience in designing, building, and refining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, or similar).
- Proficient in Docker and container orchestration on AWS ECS.
- Basic knowledge of Angular for front-end development, capable of reviewing and making targeted improvements.
- Strong Git skills, including branching strategies, code reviews, conflict resolution, and PR best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive, self-starter mindset to work independently with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with multiple application teams to identify efficiency bottlenecks, technical debt, and automation opportunities.
- Deliver production-ready pull requests aimed at enhancing build times, test coverage, deployment reliability, and overall developer experience.
- Create reusable patterns, shared libraries, and internal tools for adoption across all teams.
- Assess and integrate AI coding assistants (like GitHub Copilot) into the daily workflow of the team.
- Develop internal AI-driven utilities such as automated code review bots and intelligent test generators.
- Advocate for AI-augmented development practices and provide training on effective prompt engineering techniques.
- Identify high-return areas where AI can enhance development cycles and reduce repetitive tasks.
- Streamline and enhance existing CI/CD pipelines for Spring Boot microservices on AWS ECS.
- Implement automated quality checks, security scans, and performance regression tests.
- Minimize deployment cycle durations and enhance rollback capabilities across various environments.
- Refactor outdated patterns and improve architectural consistency across Java/Spring Boot applications.
- Enhance observability through improved logging, tracing, and monitoring instruments.
- Standardize database querying patterns and optimize PostgreSQL performance.
