Requirements
Must:
- Proficient in Java and AWS (essential)
- Extensive experience using Python for AI scripting and integrations

Responsibilities
- Review and assess software/hardware configurations for designated environments
- Create and manage product builds along with development/test code baselines
- Suggest improvements to configuration management systems, building processes, and delivery methods
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Clearly communicate solutions to team members
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technology solutions align with customer needs
- Document and provide status updates, including performance metrics
- Offer informal mentoring to junior team members on project tasks
- Engage in internal initiatives for process enhancement
- Provide input and recommendations on operational processes
- Follow technology policies and adhere to security measures
- Ensure all deliverables meet or exceed established standards
Description
At SGA, we are seeking a Senior Application Engineer for a contract position with one of our esteemed regulatory clients located in Rockville, MD or Tyson, VA. This hybrid role requires that you be in the DMV area for three days a week. You will play a key part in supporting Learning Platforms, particularly focusing on migrating from an old LMS to a new system. While prior LMS experience is beneficial, the primary focus of this role is on AI capabilities, especially using Python, alongside a solid foundation in Java and AWS.
