Requirements
Must:
- Demonstrated experience managing IT infrastructure operations in complex technical environments
- Broad knowledge of current and emerging infrastructure, systems, storage, and software technologies
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills with analytical and financial acumen
- Hands-on crisis management experience with the ability to impact and manage at all levels of the organization
- Supervision and people management abilities, including assessment and development of team members
- In-depth expertise in major cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (Azure preferred)
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance regulations
- Experience with ITSM methodologies (ITIL) and ITOM tools
- Familiarity with IT monitoring and visualization tools such as Splunk, Grafana, ELK Stack, LogicMonitor, Datadog
- 4-year college degree is preferred
- 5+ years of relevant hands-on IT Operations leadership experience
Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations and performance of all IT infrastructure components, including servers, networks, and security systems
- Manage the support for new infrastructure technologies ensuring performance and reliability
- Coordinate troubleshooting of server, network, and storage issues for prompt resolution
- Collaborate with third-party service providers to establish operational standards and procedures
- Enhance service delivery and operational efficiency while promoting cloud technology innovation
- Stay updated on emerging IT infrastructure technologies and best practices
- Participate in the formulation and execution of IT strategic initiatives
- Oversee the selection and management of IT infrastructure monitoring tools for optimal performance
- Analyze monitoring data to uncover trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities
- Advocate for continuous improvement through the adoption of ITSM and ITOM best practices
- Implement reporting tools to track key performance indicators and measure service effectiveness
- Interact with vendors to ensure efficient service delivery and accountability
- Mentor the IT Operations Team to achieve alignment with operational goals
- Set performance expectations, facilitate feedback, and manage team dynamics for optimal outcomes
- Take charge of crisis management and effectively respond to outages and disaster recovery events
- Recruit, develop, and review performance of team members as necessary
