Hadoop analytics developer

- Design, develop, and maintain systems that store and manage large datasets - Write code for moderately complex system architectures and create programs that span various platforms - Enhance existing software or develop new applications - Review and provide feedback on the code developed by fellow IT team members - Contribute to and enforce programming standards - Prepare detailed technical specifications for subsystems and identify integration points - Communicate any deficiencies in system and functional requirements and articulate impacts to the team - Collaborate with other IT Developers, Business Analysts, Systems Analysts, Project Managers, and vendors - Estimate time and resources needed for programming projects and seek feedback on these estimates - Conduct unit testing and debugging, setting testing conditions based on code specifications, and collaborating with the team to resolve complex issues - Support the transition of applications throughout the Product Development life cycle and document necessary migrations - Research and analyze vendor products, conducting gap analyses and comparisons as needed - Ensure adherence to IT controls and corporate standards to safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of applications and data - Perform additional tasks as assigned when necessary
