Requirements

Must:
- A bachelors degree or equivalent experience with at least 10 years in information technology, focused on software architecture, design, and development. - Strong technical expertise in software engineering, especially in Java EE and cloud technologies, along with familiarity with Agile development methodologies. - Proven skills in creating and launching highly distributed, fault-tolerant Java applications. - Extensive knowledge in technologies including Java, JEE, Angular, Spring, JavaScript, Python, CSS, Bootstrap, RESTful APIs, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Maven, Jenkins, SVN, GIT, Linux, and AIX. - Proficiency in designing and constructing web infrastructures on AWS, utilizing services like EC2, ECS, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, and S3. - Hands-on experience with cloud computing, including application planning, development, migration, and integration. - Capability to implement cloud-native services within AWS environments. - Experience with Docker and other containerization technologies. - Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code practices (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation). - Familiarity with CI/CD deployment strategies using DevOps and automated testing. - Proficient in continuous integration and security scanning tools (e.g., Gitlab, Jenkins, Maven, Fortify, Sonar). - Expertise in designing applications with an emphasis on usability, security, and performance. - Strong database design skills, including data modeling capabilities. - Enthusiasm for technology and a commitment to ongoing learning in response to dynamic technical and business landscapes. - Excellent communication skills for conveying complex technical and business ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Outstanding problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze intricate details while maintaining a broader perspective.

Responsibilities

- Design and develop solutions for business functions while improving CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) implementations. - Migrate critical on-premises operations to the AWS platform. - Conduct build and deployment tasks while enhancing DevOps practices. - Utilize comprehensive cloud technology knowledge and AWS Cloud Services expertise in daily assignments. - Lead complex projects through all stages of system analysis and development. - Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and define technical requirements. - Support QA testing initiatives and contribute to application production support. - Create, test, and implement technical solutions that address various business needs across web technology stacks. - Modify and extend existing code to enhance cloud infrastructure and optimize delivery using CI/CD processes. - Build and deploy applications and infrastructure components in AWS GovCloud environments. - Troubleshoot and resolve a variety of software application issues. - Facilitate the migration of vital application components from on-premises to AWS GovCloud. - Provide technical guidance to team members and coordinate design and development efforts. - Share expertise and insights to enhance the teams technical knowledge and cohesion. - Assess new technological solutions to address future business or technical needs. - Implement project management and software development best practices in daily operations. - Review current processes and software to mitigate risks and technical issues. - Work alongside business teams to document and analyze complex functional requirements. - Engage in collaborative solutions development with peers to achieve business outcomes via Agile methodologies. - Continuously expand business acumen relevant to supported applications. - Maintain and review technical documentation to ensure accuracy and clarity. - Assist QA activities by addressing inquiries and collaborating on defect documentation and prioritization. - Provide ongoing support to production teams as needed.
