Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of five years of direct experience in z/OS operations or systems programming
- Strong proficiency in Job Control Language (JCL) and related subsystems
- Fundamental knowledge of mainframe batch concepts
- Experience with batch operational support tools such as Storage Management and/or Report Distribution
- A Bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems or Management is preferred, though relevant experience can be accepted as a substitute
- Previous experience in a customer support position is advantageous, but not mandatory
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for customers, Customer Support Engineers, and Implementation Technicians in resolving both pre and post-sales product issues
- Function as a liaison between customers and SEAs Level 2 partner organizations
- Advocate for and promote the use of our products within the user community
- Provide on-call support on a rotational basis
- Keep accurate customer call ticket records in the SEA call-ticket database
- Offer pre-sale technical support as required by the Sales team
- Occasionally travel to customer sites within the US as requested by Sales
- Address customer inquiries and coordinate with other departments as needed
- Engage in programs aimed at maintaining customer maintenance contract renewals
- Undertake special projects as assigned and report on progress as necessary
