Requirements
Must:
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering, with a minimum of 2 years concentrating on low latency and highly available backend systems.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, or an equivalent field, demonstrating a solid academic performance.
- Strong foundational knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and distributed computing principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a keen interest in AI and machine learning.
- Proficient programming skills in Python; knowledge of Go or Rust is advantageous.
- Practical experience with model systems including low latency model serving, registries, and pipeline orchestration (preferably using SageMaker).
- Comprehensive understanding of MLOps best practices, including model versioning, testing, deployment, and reproducibility.
- Proven ability in developing and managing CI/CD pipelines for ML workflows.
- Familiarity with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
- Experience with database technologies, including SQL, NoSQL, or data warehousing solutions like Snowflake or Redshift.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable infrastructure for deploying and serving ML models.
- Create low-latency, fault-tolerant model inference systems utilizing Amazon SageMaker.
- Execute safe deployment strategies such as blue/green deployments and rollbacks.
- Develop and oversee CI/CD pipelines for ML processes.
- Monitor model performance and system health with AWS observability tools (e.g., CloudWatch).
- Build internal tools and APIs to facilitate ML teams in deploying and monitoring models seamlessly.
- Collaborate with ML engineers, data scientists, and DevOps to integrate new models into production.
- Engage in code reviews, system design, and platform roadmap discussions.
- Strive to enhance deployment reliability, speed, and usability of the ML platform.
