Requirements
Must:
- Masters degree (or equivalent foreign degree) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative field, and two (2) years of experience in a similar role, or
- Bachelors degree (or equivalent foreign degree) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative field, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in a similar role, or
- Any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience is considered acceptable.
- Proficiency in data modeling.
- Experience with Snowflake.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Knowledge of SQL.
- Familiarity with data architecture concepts.
- Experience using Git for version control.
- Understanding of AWS services.
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with automated scripting.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Experience with Airflow.
- Proficiency with DBT (Data Build Tool).
- Experience in ETL/ELT processes.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and testing of the Data Warehouse system and related services.
- Participate in defining the technical architecture for SoFis data.
- Translate product requirements into actionable technical documents and solutions.
- Generate innovative ideas for new initiatives and technologies.
- Mentor fellow engineers, fostering a strong technical culture, and assisting in the growth of the Data Warehouse team.
- Collaborate with project leads, product managers, software developers, and data users.
- Develop scalable data models to manage complex data relationships.
- Architect and maintain highly automated and scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.
- Provision, optimize, and sustain data feeds to external systems.
- Write code to validate data integrity and improve existing data quality.
- Participate in an on-call support rotation for the Data Warehouse and its automated processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data inconsistency issues.
- Identify inefficiencies and optimize processes and data flows; provide recommendations for enhancements.
- Lead the data product initiatives addressing data governance, data quality, and testing.
- Lead the development of data products for Reporting and Analytics.
