Public education specialist

- Develop, organize, and manage public education programs for the District, such as community safety events and first aid & CPR classes - Foster proactive community relations through the creation, revision, and editing of various public education materials including newsletters and publications - Build and maintain long-term working relationships with external entities, businesses, and organizations to advance the Districts educational goals - Conduct research and engage in the creation and distribution of educational content across multiple platforms, including videos and social media - Organize and oversee special events like open houses and community festivals - Design and implement curriculum to meet Community Risk Reduction objectives that is appropriate for the target audience - Schedule and coordinate personnel for educational events, ensuring a consistent delivery of messaging - Identify and maintain an inventory of fire and life safety materials and supplies - Serve as the primary contact for designated events liaising with internal staff and external participants - Establish collaborative partnerships to enhance fire and life safety education initiatives
