Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience as an Analyst or Data Specialist with a strong background in business and data analysis skills.
- Proficient in Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and other visualization platforms.
- Solid grasp of Agile project management methodologies and SDLC processes.
- Practical experience with ETL tools, especially Talend; scripting capabilities in VBA, Bash (Unix shell), and Python are beneficial.
- Skilled in SQL programming within Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle databases; understanding of database design principles is crucial.
- Familiarity with R for statistical analysis and Python for automation tasks.
- Experience working with linked data sources to enable comprehensive analytics solutions.
- Strong comprehension of business processes related to data management and analysis.
- Knowledge of analytics tools such as Visio for documentation is a plus.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to varied audiences.
Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, and Looker to illustrate key business metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect requirements and convert business needs into technical specifications.
- Design and execute ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using tools like Talend, VBA, Bash (Unix shell), and SQL to guarantee accurate data integration.
- Oversee database design and optimization within platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and R to facilitate scalable analytics solutions.
- Perform thorough data analysis using SQL, R, Python, and other analytical tools to uncover trends, anomalies, and opportunities.
- Support project management efforts within Agile frameworks to deliver timely data solutions that align with organizational objectives.
- Maintain documentation of system architecture, workflows, and procedures utilizing Visio or similar tools.
- Ensure adherence to SDLC best practices during development phases to deliver high-quality outputs.
- Collaborate on integrating linked data sources to enhance datasets for advanced analytics.
- Assist in training team members on new tools and methodologies to foster continuous improvement.
