Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in a relevant client-facing technical role
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing teams and coordinating multiple clients or projects
- Strong familiarity with cloud-based technologies and knowledge of website architecture and application interactions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with effective presentation abilities
- Experience in drafting requirement documents, use cases, and system support materials
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and clear articulation of solutions
- Proven ability to concurrently manage multiple projects while adhering to deadlines and budgets
- Willingness to travel minimally (approximately 5%)
- A self-driven team player with a positive mindset
- In-depth understanding of technology strategy and trends in the association industry
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted technology consultant for client organizations, aligning technology initiatives with their strategic objectives
- Facilitate feedback loops with Client Managers, Executive Directors, and client teams to accomplish roadmap goals and enhance client satisfaction
- Oversee a portfolio of roughly 25-35 association clients, tailored by size and complexity
- Guide the technology direction for AMS platforms and related systems supporting member operations
- Meet or surpass financial targets, manage portfolio budgets, and drive revenue growth
- Ensure high levels of satisfaction within the assigned client portfolio
- Supervise a team of Client Managers representing the client portfolio
- Conduct regular performance reviews of client organizations and metrics with senior management
- Deliver timely reports and actionable insights to leadership on organizational challenges
- Foster a high-performance client management team through effective recruitment, training, and retention
- Take ownership of project deliverables, assigning tasks as needed
- Cultivate a positive team environment, encouraging communication and collaboration
- Support management with specialized assignments, including vendor evaluations and proposal reviews
- Maintain a complete ownership role in addressing all client technology needs

Smithbucklin, an employee-owned professional services firm with over 70 years of experience serving the association sector, is seeking a Senior Manager for Client Success in our Information Technology Services (ITS) unit. Located in Chicago, we aim to empower our association clients through strategic technology solutions.
