Founding Senior Full Stack Engineer (Backend Leader)

- Drive the readiness for launch by performing final testing fixes, enhancing stability, fine-tuning performance, and eliminating edge cases. - Oversee backend architecture comprehensively, including APIs, integrations, resiliency, data integrity, and scalability. - Build and strengthen real-time components as necessary, such as websockets and pub-sub systems. - Implement job queues and background processing, ensuring idempotency, retries, and backfills are effectively managed. - Develop and maintain ETL pipelines to facilitate reporting, operational visibility, and growth analytics, addressing reruns, validation, and failure handling. - Design and optimize data models (SQL/NoSQL), including indexing, migrations, and audit-friendly patterns. - Integrate payment and subscription systems, as well as messaging services (SMS/email/push) with robust error handling mechanisms. - Establish or improve CI/CD practices, along with infra-as-code habits, ensuring that releases are reliable and safe. - Instrument all systems through logging, metrics, and tracing to provide real-time visibility into operations. - Apply security-first principles and maintain HIPAA compliance within sensitive medical and legal environments. - Lead project delivery as a product-focused engineering lead, covering scope, milestones, acceptance criteria, QA coordination, release cadence, and postmortem processes.
