Requirements
Must:
- Extremely energetic and engaging personality on camera
- Comfortable speaking continuously for long periods
- Thrives in dynamic, live, unscripted situations
- Capable of both selling and entertaining simultaneously
- Reliable availability for afternoon and late-night shifts
- Eager to quickly learn about video games (training provided)
- Must work on-site at our streaming warehouse
- Bonus: Experience with Whatnot, TikTok Live, Twitch, or YouTube Live
- Bonus: Background in sales, hosting, acting, improv, or performance
- Bonus: Experience in auction or livestream commerce
Responsibilities
- Host six-hour live auction streams on Whatnot
- Sell video games and collectibles at a rapid pace
- Manage $1 starting auctions and maintain momentum
- Create urgency in real time by hyping items and calling bids
- Engage actively with the chat regarding questions, bids, and excitement
- Sustain high energy levels on camera throughout the entire shift
- Collaborate closely with warehouse staff to prepare inventory
- Achieve performance goals that directly impact commission
Description
At Skylar Racing, Inc., we are seeking high-energy, fast-talking streamers to host exciting live auctions on Whatnot in our Chesapeake, VA location. This is a part-time or full-time role that offers $12/hour plus a 10% gross commission on every sale during your stream. Our work environment is fun, competitive, and high-energy, providing you with a chance to develop significant live-selling skills while enjoying access to high-demand inventory.
