Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of professional experience in Android development
- Strong expertise in React Native and Kotlin
- In-depth understanding of Android frameworks such as Jetpack Compose, ExoPlayer, Room, WorkManager
- Familiarity with video streaming technologies including HLS, DASH, and DRM
- Experience in developing applications for Android TV or Fire TV
- Solid grasp of multithreading and performance optimization
- Proficiency in consuming REST or GraphQL APIs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in creating hybrid apps for Android and TV platforms
- Knowledge of DRM systems, SSAI, and analytics SDKs
- Familiarity with AWS and CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of React Native tools and libraries like Navigation, Redux, Reanimated
- Background in media, sports, or entertainment streaming
Responsibilities
- Design and develop hybrid Android applications utilizing React Native and Kotlin
- Build and enhance features such as video playback, live streaming, authentication, and user personalization
- Collaborate closely with backend engineers to ensure effective integration of APIs and analytics
- Work with design teams to maintain consistent user experiences across Android and Living Room platforms
- Implement advanced features for video playback including DRM, adaptive bitrate streaming, ad markers, and live DVR
- Guarantee application reliability, performance, and observability through diligent monitoring and testing
- Take part in architectural design discussions and cross-platform planning
- Stay informed about the latest developments in Android, React Native, and TV ecosystem technologies
