Requirements
Must:
- Over 8 years of advanced reporting experience preferred
- Proven track record in award-winning investigative journalism preferred
- Exceptional storytelling ability with a knack for simplifying complex topics
- Proficient in utilizing various tools to enhance stories, including graphics and social media
- Capable of generating innovative story ideas and assessing the validity of viewer suggestions
- Strong writing skills and a natural curiosity to hold government officials accountable
Responsibilities
- Cultivate and sustain contacts and sources within the community to generate story ideas
- Identify and propose investigative angles for significant daily news stories
- Collaborate closely with Producers and managers to polish investigative pitches and story scripts
- Create online versions of investigative reports and coordinate with Digital Producers for supplementary web content
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned
