Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- Over 5 years experience with broadcast television systems and air chain equipment
- More than 5 years in a leadership role
- Familiarity with the ATSC 3 standard
- Superior oral and written communication capabilities
- Proficient in HEVC, AVC, MPEG-2, Dash, HLS, and HDR
- Experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting within Linux/Unix and Android environments
- Knowledge of video streaming technologies (e.g., MPEG Dash, HLS, MSS, and RTSP)
- Competent in scripting languages such as Python and Perl
- Understanding of public/private key infrastructure (PKI)
- Ability to troubleshoot, install, and maintain IP networks
- Hands-on experience with network sniffer tools such as Wireshark, SolarWindows, or PRTG
Responsibilities
- Assist in the support of Sinclairs ATSC 3 and mobile projects
- Contribute to verification and validation testing for receivers and broadcast technologies
- Engage in the innovation and ideation process at ONE Media Lab
- Create requirements and acceptance plans for software and station equipment validation
- Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, virtual machines, and management tools to ensure lab servers and broadcast air chains are current
- Lead rapid prototype development initiatives and provide demonstrations
- Develop and uphold security, backup, and redundancy strategies for the Lab
- Support plug-fests, interoperability events, and integration activities in the lab
- Aid in technology demonstrations at key industry events (NAB, CES, etc.)
- Participate in standards and industry alignment efforts
- Support other initiatives at ONE Media
