Requirements
Must:
- 8+ years of experience in software development
- Proficient in Java (8/11/17+)
- Extensive knowledge of Spring Boot and Spring Framework (REST, Security, JPA/Hibernate)
- Strong command of Oracle Database (SQL, PL/SQL, performance tuning)
- Front-end development experience with React (preferred) or Angular
- Skilled in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Familiarity with microservices architecture
- Experience in designing REST APIs and following API design best practices
- Proficient with Git and version control systems
- Experience with Microsoft Azure (App Services, AKS, or similar)
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Understanding containerization concepts (Docker, Kubernetes) is advantageous
- Background in Retail, Grocery, or Supply Chain domains is preferred
- Familiarity with product hierarchies and master data management
- Knowledge of vendor collaboration workflows, pricing, and promotions
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Exceptional communication skills, both technical and business-focused
- Ownership mindset with meticulous attention to detail
- Experience with graph-based systems or knowledge graphs is a bonus
- Exposure to AI/ML integrations in enterprise applications is beneficial
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL alongside Oracle is a plus
- Proven experience in SaaS product companies is advantageous
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot
- Create modern, responsive user interfaces utilizing React (preferred) or Angular
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services
- Ensure applications are high-performing, reliable, and maintainable
- Design and optimize Oracle database schemas, queries, and stored procedures
- Write efficient SQL to guarantee high-performance data access patterns
- Implement data validation, transformation, and integration logic
- Manage large datasets typical of retail and merchandising systems
- Enhance solutions for vendor onboarding and collaboration
- Oversee item master data and product hierarchies
- Address pricing, cost changes, and promotions effectively
- Implement deals, rebates, and trade funding workflows
- Understand and apply retail standards such as GTIN, GS1, and EDI where necessary
- Contribute to application architecture and design decisions
- Uphold best practices in microservices, security, and scalability
- Mentor junior developers while conducting code reviews
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders for technical solutions
- Engage with Azure cloud environments for deployment and scaling
- Participate in CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release management
- Troubleshoot production issues to ensure system stability
