Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of five years hands-on experience in UNIX/Linux and Windows environments
- Familiarity with DoD Information Assurance and Cybersecurity policies, including system hardening and STIG implementation
- Proficient in Linux server setup, management, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance tasks
- Knowledgeable in UNIX/Linux systems, specifically Red Hat and CentOS
- Must have DoD 8140 & 5239 compliance (Security+ and OS certifications)
- Understanding of automation and scripting tools
- Strong grasp of system security fundamentals and implementation of hardening techniques
Responsibilities
- Conducting weekly routine maintenance tasks
- Collecting requirements and developing design reviews
- Installing, configuring, and managing Linux operating systems and related tools
- Setting up and troubleshooting commonly used COTS and GOTS applications
- Understanding backup and disaster recovery technologies
- Maintaining, administering, and applying patches to enhance system performance and security
- Upgrading or migrating systems as necessary
- Responding promptly to system failures to restore applications
- Constructing new infrastructure servers
- Executing Continuous Monitoring activities, including compliance scanning and STIG applications
- Updating and maintaining system documentation and knowledge bases
- Operating within an Agile scrum framework for task tracking and reporting
