Requirements

Must:
We require candidates to have a rank of E-4 or higher with Tactical Tomahawk Weapons Control System (TTWCS) experience, or at least three years of experience in system testing of real-time naval weapon systems. Alternatively, a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university in a STEM field will also be accepted.

Responsibilities

As a Weapon System Test Engineer, I will conduct testing of tactical weapon systems in various configurations and across multiple builds within a laboratory setting, ensuring to document important details in lab logs. I will modify and troubleshoot lab hardware, equipment, simulators, and network configurations in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, I will perform data analysis of test outputs, identify, and develop data extraction and reduction elements for test protocols that aid in verifying requirements. It will be my responsibility to document system issues through change requests (CR) and problem reports (PR), and validate software corrections for these resolutions. I will also develop new testing methods and modify existing ones to verify requirements and system functionality. Conducting peer reviews of testing procedures, maintaining Test Verification Matrices (TVM), and generating both test plans and reports will all be key aspects of my role. Clear and effective communication of testing event summaries, both verbally and in writing, is vital, including delivering technical briefs, defending data analyses, and presenting findings during technical reviews. I will maintain open communication with the management at SimVentions regarding test initiatives and any arising issues.
