Requirements

Must:
- United States Citizenship - Active Secret Clearance (or above) - At least 5 years of experience in systems engineering; candidates with extensive Electronic Warfare or Combat Systems experience may qualify for a Senior Engineer role - Proven track record in developing requirements, creating system design documentation, and executing technical reviews - Strong analytical skills to assess intricate, multi-domain datasets and produce formal, compliant technical reports, test plans, and executive summaries - Demonstrated ability to formulate system requirements and develop technical documentation - Familiarity with tactical simulators (e.g., TACSIM) and the capability to create and execute test scenarios - Proficient in analyzing complex datasets and converting them into formal, compliant test reports and briefs - Willingness to work entirely on-site in a government lab setting and engage in high-level technical meetings

Responsibilities

- Oversee the complete lifecycle of Systems Engineering: spearhead the technical analysis and integration of the AN/SLQ-32(V)7 variant within broader shipboard Combat Systems (e.g., Aegis) to ensure mission efficacy - Drive Requirements Engineering: define, decompose, and trace system-level requirements, transforming high-level operational needs into precise technical specifications for Electronic Warfare software and hardware components - Manage Technical Stakeholders: serve as a technical expert during formal reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR), design discussions, and working groups, ensuring technical integrity throughout the program lifecycle - Conduct Modeling & Simulation (M&S): create intricate test scenarios in tactical simulation environments (like TACSIM) to evaluate AN/SLQ-32(V)7 performance against relevant threats - Execute System Validation & Troubleshooting: run simulations, identify system issues, and carry out root-cause analyses to eliminate integration barriers between EW suites and combat management systems - Provide Data-Driven Decision Support: gather, process, and analyze tactical data originating from simulation and test events; draft formal technical reports and briefs that translate raw data into actionable engineering insights - Assist with Verification & Validation (V&V): support about one major Test & Evaluation (T&E) event per month, ensuring that system performance aligns with predefined benchmarks in tactically relevant settings
