Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of two years of experience in software engineering and development management
- Proficient in handling software requirements, design, process management, open architecture principles, integration, and testing
- Skilled in developing software system designs, tests (including interoperability), and relevant plans
- Strong communication abilities with software program leads, engineers/developers, and stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Naval Air Station Patuxent River headquarters, contractors, and other government entities for program coordination
- Analyze data, reports, studies, designs, documentation, tests, and equipment for alignment with contract technical stipulations
- Conduct technical evaluations to assess the acceptability of modifications to required contract services or equipment
- Assess the functionality of items that do not comply with contract requirements
- Supervise direction, management, and synchronization of technical initiatives
- Provide expert advice on technical matters
- Oversee research, analysis, design, development, testing, and manufacturing processes
- Facilitate direct access to subject matter experts for problem evaluation and resolution
- Offer technical oversight on the Program Increment (PI) priority workloads
- Evaluate and contribute technical feedback on proposed changes to processes and software development plans
- Participate as a team member in integrated projects
- Implement risk management, configuration management, data management, trade-off analysis, technical performance measures, technical reviews, modeling and simulation, and earned value management techniques in support of various technical programs/projects
