Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Software or Computer Engineering or a related discipline (Master’s preferred)
- Active Secret Clearance with the ability to achieve Top Secret with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) eligibility
- Experience in the embedded hardware product lifecycle (design, test, integration)
- Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout software (e.g., Altium)
- Skilled in writing embedded firmware for microcontrollers
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Strong independent work ethic with effective cross-functional communication skills (written and verbal)
- Detail-oriented and proactive problem-solving capabilities
- Adaptability to changing workloads and schedules
- Physical ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Develops and analyzes integrated engineering designs, translating high-level requirements into concrete solutions
- Performs trade-off analyses (risk/cost/benefit) to inform technical decisions, such as selecting microprocessors
- Designs and integrates custom electrical circuits and durable mechanical packaging
- Creates C/C++ bare-metal firmware utilizing test-driven development practices
- Manages code using GitLab for configuration management processes
- Optionally develops full-stack applications (SQL, C++ services, React/Next.js)
- Conducts developmental testing and evaluations to ensure solutions meet specifications
- Adheres to established program configuration management and documentation standards.
