Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience with Linux system administration, emphasizing performance tuning, networking, and service management.
- Strong proficiency in scripting and development with Bash, Python, or comparable languages.
- Practical knowledge of configuration management and infrastructure automation.
- Thorough comprehension of secure system configurations and federal compliance frameworks.
- Proven experience in establishing and maintaining small computer lab environments, including hardware setup, operating system imaging, network configuration, patching, and troubleshooting.
- Expertise in virtualization and containerization technologies such as VMware, KVM, Docker, and Podman.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance Linux-based applications, tools, and system components.
- Oversee administration and hardening of Linux systems (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) across production, development, and secure environments.
- Architect and implement automation solutions utilizing tools like Ansible, Terraform, Bash, Python, or similar technologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system, network, and application-related issues, providing Tier 3 support.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure adherence to federal security requirements (STIGs, NIST, FISMA).
- Assist in enhancing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
- Manage small computer lab environments, including workstation provisioning, operating system imaging, patching, network configurations, and hardware lifecycle maintenance.
- Generate comprehensive documentation for system setups, processes, and operational workflows.
