Requirements
Must:
- I have at least 10 years of experience in systems engineering (20 years if I do not hold a degree) with a focus on requirements development and management of software systems. This experience includes work related to the identification, analysis, and documentation of complex systems involving DoD weapon systems and/or fire control systems.
- I possess two years of concurrent experience with Navy surface or submarine shipboard weapons and/or fire control systems, including current Navy programs such as Tomahawk or other similar missile and weapon control systems.
- I have experience in both requirements definition and initial and detailed system design activities.
- I am proficient in Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities
- I will review, analyze, and develop requirements at various levels (SSS, SSDD, SRS, HRS) for weapon system capabilities and functionalities.
- I will assess impacts on the weapon system, requirements, and other design specifications during the engineering development phase.
- I will address change requests (CR) and problem reports (PR) regarding discrepancies between design documents and system functionality.
- I may create CRs and PRs as necessary to document system issues and/or errors in design documentation.
- I will develop Candidate Change Packages (CCP) to engineer new system capabilities and document design details and impacts in engineering documents.
- I will review, analyze, and construct system architectures, particularly using MagicDraw.
- I will provide human factors engineering, prototyping, and analysis support for developing and maintaining system user interface requirements and specifications (e.g., the Human Computer Interface (HCI) Design Specification).
- I will review, analyze, and contribute to external interface documents, serving as the custodian of these documents by making updates, resolving comments, and maintaining Configuration Management (CM).
- I will lend engineering expertise during Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings, Software Requirements Management Boards (SRMB), Engineering Review Boards (ERB), Deficiency Review Boards (DRB), Development and Deployment reviews, Configuration Control Boards (CCB), Interface Working Groups (IWG), and Single System Initiative (SSI) Reviews by developing packages, reviewing packages, and documenting results.
- I will communicate summaries of meetings and engineering events verbally and in writing, including the provision of technical briefs, defending engineering and design decisions, and presenting at reviews.
Description
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline or have equivalent experience totaling 10 years in lieu of a degree. The projected annual compensation range for this position is between $126,000 and $155,000 (USD).
