Requirements
Must:
- 3-5 years of experience in embedded software development involving microcontrollers or similar devices
- Strong proficiency in C programming language
- Familiarity with C# programming
- Experience using Git version control
- Proficient in software debugging and related tools
- Skilled in hardware debugging at the logical level and relevant tools
- Knowledgeable in Code Composer Studio, MPLAB X, and Visual Studio
- Basic understanding of satellite constellations
- Fundamental testing, troubleshooting, and soldering skills
- Proven knowledge of embedded software development linked to hardware
- Familiarity with hardware architectures, microcontrollers, and communication protocols
- Experience in writing test cases, unit testing, and validating hardware-software integration
- Ability to diagnose and resolve network-related issues, including configuration, connectivity, and data transmission problems
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment focused on product deployment
- Ability to collaborate with others to achieve set goals and project timelines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Write firmware for specified microcontrollers to fulfill desired functionalities
- Develop embedded software for both new and existing systems
- Enhance device robustness and provide user-required functionalities, including support for new hardware like GNSS engines and satellite transceivers
- Update or create tools for configuring newly revised devices
- Assist in testing and evaluating embedded systems at local and external sites
- Apply software development best practices within government processes
- Stay updated on the latest hardware, technologies, and strategies in a rapidly changing environment
- Regularly engage with the government team through scheduled onsite meetings
