Requirements
Must:
- 1–3 years of professional experience in IT, specifically in help desk, support, or technician roles.
- Experience with troubleshooting, deploying, and maintaining workstations in Windows environments.
- Basic knowledge of networking principles such as IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and wireless configurations.
- Familiarity with administrative tasks in Azure and Microsoft 365.
- Capability to install and terminate structured cabling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong motivation and willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and processes.
- Ability to lift approximately 40 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily technical support for workstation, network systems, and end-user services.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to workstation hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Deploy, configure, image, and upgrade user laptops and workstations.
- Maintain inventory records for all equipment associated with workstations.
- Conduct basic network diagnostics including checks on IP configuration, DHCP problems, and connectivity issues.
- Assist in the configuration of firewalls and wireless networks under the guidance of the IT Manager.
- Resolve wired and wireless connectivity issues throughout the facilities.
- Install, test, label, and manage Ethernet cabling (Cat5e/Cat6).
- Ensure cabling in server and network rooms, as well as user areas, is clean and organized.
- Efficiently manage help desk tickets, ensuring documentation is clear and issues are resolved promptly.
- Clearly communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
- Provide exceptional customer service and follow up on pending issues.
- Coordinate with external vendors for hardware repairs, RMAs, service appointments, and equipment procurement.
- Assist the IT Manager with vendor quotes, product evaluation, and tracking orders.
- Perform basic tasks in Microsoft 365/Azure including user provisioning, MFA resets, and group updates.
- Troubleshoot cloud services like Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
- Support the IT Manager in special projects, including system upgrades and network expansions.
- Document procedures, configurations, standards, and troubleshooting methods.
