Requirements
Must:
- 3-6 years of experience in embedded firmware development using C/C++ on 32-bit microcontrollers
- Proven experience leading firmware projects from inception through verification across multiple platforms
- Hands-on experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) development and debugging including services and connection
- Proficient in communication protocols such as SPI, IĀ²C, and UART, along with bench-level debugging tools like JTAG/SWD, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and experience in conducting code reviews
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; a Masters degree is preferred
- Exposure to regulated development standards, specifically IEC 62304, is a plus
- Understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS) with a preference for experience with TI-RTOS
- Knowledge of over-the-air (OTA) update protocols and power management techniques for battery-operated devices
Responsibilities
- Develop and troubleshoot firmware for both current and next-generation products
- Lead the architecture design, planning, risk assessment, and documentation for releases
- Program embedded software in C/C++ on 32-bit microcontrollers, incorporating real-time logic and BLE 5.x functionalities
- Design diagnostics and manufacturing tests, as well as OTA update processes
- Utilize AI tools within the Quality Management System (QMS) to enhance coding speed, testing procedures, and documentation
- Create documentation aligned with IEC 62304 standards including traceability, release notes, and test specifications
- Collaborate with electrical engineers to bring up boards and troubleshoot hardware issues
- Develop user and test software interfaces to facilitate bench testing and manufacturing processes
- Assist in field, supplier, and manufacturing investigations related to root cause analysis and corrective measures
