Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 2 years of professional IT support experience, preferably in desktop, helpdesk, or similar roles.
- Strong practical experience with supporting PCs, laptops, and hardware peripherals.
- Experience in Active Directory user management; familiarity with AD migrations is a plus.
- Knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 operating systems.
- Experience with Microsoft O365 applications.
- Ability to support commonly used web browsers, including Internet Explorer and Google Chrome.
- Basic understanding of servers, networking concepts, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with VMware, Veeam, or Backup Exec is a significant advantage.
- Capacity to work independently and manage daily tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and customer service abilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support for desktops and laptops in Windows 10 and 11 environments.
- Assist end users through phone calls, remote tools, and on-site visits (75% on-site, 25% via phone).
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot PCs, laptops, monitors, and peripheral devices.
- Offer support for mobile devices, including iOS and Android.
- Resolve issues pertaining to Internet Explorer and Google Chrome.
- Assist with Active Directory cleanup, management, and migration activities.
- Support user account management, permissions, and troubleshoot group policy issues.
- Provide basic support for server and networking equipment.
- Aid in the support of custom and business applications utilized by our organization.
- Assist with Microsoft 365 applications and user account issues.
- Help with software installations, updates, and configurations.
- Execute routine VMware environment maintenance tasks.
- Support backup solutions such as Veeam and Backup Exec, which includes monitoring and basic troubleshooting.
- Assist with backup and restore operations as necessary.
Description
We are looking for a hands-on IT Support Technician to integrate into our expanding support team. In this position, I will focus primarily on delivering on-site assistance to approximately 100 Village Hall users, in addition to contributing to the broader support of 600 users throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, customer-centric, and adept at supporting a diverse array of hardware, software, and infrastructure technologies. This role will involve workplace deployment, troubleshooting, cleaning up Active Directory, migration tasks, custom software support, and providing general desktop and server assistance in a dynamic environment. We offer a chance to collaborate with a supportive IT team, gaining hands-on experience with a variety of systems and technologies.
