Elasticsearch engineer

- Lead and facilitate SIEM migration projects, transitioning customers from ArcSight to the Elastic Stack. - Implement, configure, and document four Elasticsearch clusters to support enterprise SIEM and analytics needs. - Create comprehensive installation, configuration, and operational documentation to assist with deployment and ongoing support. - Design and implement data pipelines for log ingestion, normalization, enhancement, and analytics. - Assist with SIEM development tasks, including implementation, validation, and reporting. - Collaborate with Integration and Architecture teams to design, document, construct, secure, and maintain Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana (and X-Pack) solutions in cloud and on-premises settings. - Work in tandem with architects, engineers, and integrators to evaluate customer needs and design Elasticsearch Stack solutions that satisfy data compliance and performance standards. - Adhere to development lifecycle protocols for transitioning solutions from Development to Testing to Production environments. - Engage in Agile sprint meetings, provide progress updates, and ensure development aligns with project and customer expectations. - Act as a subject matter expert and trusted consultant by offering guidance and best practice recommendations for Elasticsearch deployments. - Configure and manage Linux-based operating systems (including performing updates and version upgrades) to support the Elasticsearch platform. - Install, configure, and oversee Elastic Cloud Enterprise (ECE) solutions, ensuring smooth communication and integration among Elasticsearch components and data sources. - Produce detailed installation and configuration documentation for deployment support. - Secure the solution through the implementation of TLS, certificates, SSO/PIV authentication, and encryption technologies. - Collaborate with the data lifecycle management team to maintain optimal data flow and integrity. - Troubleshoot and monitor data flows and overall health of the Elasticsearch solution to enhance performance and minimize downtime. - Provide regular status reports and analyze alternatives during daily sprint meetings. - Cultivate and sustain effective working relationships across departments and teams to coordinate efforts and ensure timely delivery of results. - Suggest and implement improvements to optimize business intelligence processes.
