Requirements
Must:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without requiring sponsorship for a work visa, either now or in the future
- Must possess a bachelors degree or higher, or a minimum of four (4) years of relevant work experience in engineering
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution setting or an operations environment
- Must have at least three (3) years of experience in an engineering role
- Must have completed formal training in and/or possess at least one (1) year of experience utilizing continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, and Transactional Lean
- Must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience managing projects within engineering or operations
- Must have previous experience with project management software (such as Procore or MS Project) and/or design software like AutoCAD
- Preferred qualifications include:
- A bachelors degree or higher in Engineering
- At least four (4) years of experience in an engineering role
- Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt, Black Belt, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Identify and assess opportunities for improvement within existing manufacturing operations and propose procedural changes or modifications to processes
- Design, implement, and upgrade systems while evaluating overall processes
- Develop innovative routines and solutions aimed at enhancing production rates and output quality
- Create and manage process documentation, training resources, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Optimize manufacturing processes to achieve reduced costs, increased productivity, and minimized cycle times
- Lead tactical projects at the site level and aid in regional and divisional initiatives
- Identify, communicate, and address any obstacles hindering production targets
- Partner with operational staff across various departments to refine process procedures through data collection and analysis
- Understand, review, and apply safety standards and regulations to projects and processes
- Prepare for and support site audits
- Manage multiple contractors to ensure project success
- Demonstrate capacity to learn and troubleshoot intricate manufacturing equipment and control systems
