Requirements
Must:
- Proficiency in IBM Mainframe technologies including COBOL, CICS, MQ, DB2, and JCL
- Experience in the automotive finance sector is preferred
- Familiarity with FIS/Systematics platforms is a plus
- Comprehensive understanding of financial services, including:
- Automotive lending
- Customer service operations
- Payment processing and tax management
- End-of-term and extension practices
- Collections and delinquency management
- Repossession, charge-off, recovery, and bankruptcy
- Accounting principles
- Knowledge of testing practices and deliverables for unit testing
- Strong communication skills suited for a collaborative environment
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain applications for various large-scale projects
- Investigate and resolve production issues, trouble-shooting mainframe online and batch failures
- Analyze and enhance daily and monthly batch processes to boost performance and minimize processing duration
- Conduct impact assessments across different platforms and applications
- Generate and update comprehensive documentation for estimates, design, and development
- Provide on-call assistance for production batch processes during non-business hours
