Requirements
Must:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Associates degree in Applied Science or related field
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), to be obtained within 90 days of hire
- Knowledge of both normal and abnormal cardiac rhythm recognition
- Ability to perform cardiac stress testing and arterial blood gases procurement
- Understanding of pulmonary function values across various age groups
- Capability to perform EEG and intraoperative monitoring, recognizing wave changes
- Proficient in utilizing electronic documentation and computer programs
- Capacity to manage time effectively and work under pressure
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA
Responsibilities
- Conduct clinical assessments and monitor cardiac stress testing
- Assist in bronchoscopy procedures while observing patient responses
- Procure arterial blood samples and assess blood gas values
- Perform EEG procedures using the international 10-20 system
- Independently carry out intraoperative monitoring, recognizing necessary wave changes
- Check and ensure the functionality and cleanliness of medical equipment
- Document all respiratory procedures accurately
- Maintain updated knowledge of clinical practices and renew necessary licenses
- Perform other assigned duties as required
