Requirements
Must:
- Strong grasp of computer networking principles including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, IPsec, and TCP protocols.
- Skilled in operating systems such as Windows, Linux/Unix (including macOS) and knowledge of system administration best practices.
- Experience with encryption methods, PKI, FIPS standards, and FISMA compliance.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, PaaS, IaaS, and cloud architecture best practices.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, Java, or Shell Scripting for automation.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as COBIT, DIACAP, FISMA, FedRAMP for governance and compliance.
- Capability to conduct vulnerability research through attack frameworks and perform computer forensic investigations as needed.
- Solid understanding of network monitoring tools like Splunk or SIEM solutions for real-time threat detection.
- Experience in disaster recovery planning, incident management, and ITIL best practices for ensuring system resilience.
- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are a plus.
- Strong communication abilities to convey complex security concepts effectively to both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain security protocols that are aligned with industry standards like NIST and ISO frameworks to protect our organizational assets.
- Analyze network traffic with SIEM tools to detect and swiftly address potential security breaches.
- Configure and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems, VPNs, and other security equipment to safeguard LAN, WAN, and cloud infrastructure.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk evaluations, and penetration tests to pinpoint weaknesses in our IT systems, including cloud architectures such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
- Supervise incident response activities, including response to incidents, disaster recovery strategies, and security audits to ensure prompt containment and resolution of threats.
- Oversee identity and access management systems such as Active Directory, LDAP, and RBAC to enforce stringent user authentication measures.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams using Agile practices to integrate security measures within the software development life cycle, including CI/CD pipelines.
