Systems Engineer - Ansible Automation

- U.S. Citizenship - Over 8 years of experience in an Automation Engineer or Systems Engineer role - Advanced proficiency in Ansible, including: - Crafting, testing, and managing Ansible playbooks, roles, and modules, along with a comprehensive understanding of Jinja2, Collections, and configuration management - Utilizing Ansible Galaxy for reusable components and Ansible Vault for sensitive data management - Employing Ansible to configure and automate physical hardware and network appliances (e.g., routers, firewalls) - Strong analytical and debugging skills to address complex issues in automation workflows - Extensive hands-on experience with Fedora-based Linux distributions (RHEL, Rocky, Oracle), covering administration of drivers, firmware, file systems, networking, and security - Proficient in Python and Bash for developing custom modules and enhancing automation - Familiarity with virtualization and container platforms (e.g., VMware, Kubernetes, Docker/Podman) - Solid understanding of core cybersecurity concepts, technologies, and methodologies, along with infrastructure security and hardening practices - Knowledge of network protocols, architecture design, and defense-in-depth strategies - Understanding of best practices in security patching, authentication, and log retention - Experience working within security frameworks to meet compliance and auditing standards - Proficiency in Git/GitHub, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions), and Agile project management workflows (e.g., Jira) - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of documenting and maintaining engineering processes and procedures - Must hold a valid drivers license with a clean driving record
