Requirements
Must:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Over 8 years of professional software engineering experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a technical lead role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline; or equivalent work experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Proven experience in architecting and deploying RESTful APIs in production environments.
- Demonstrated experience in designing, building, and deploying containerized software applications.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (Scrum) and relevant tools (Jira, Confluence).
- Comprehensive knowledge of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Git version control.
- Strong understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and CI/CD principles.
- Hands-on experience in designing deployment methods for edge and cloud solutions.
- Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs), agent-based systems, or other AI/ML development.
Responsibilities
- I will drive the architectural design of our containerized microservices application (FastAPI, React, PostgreSQL, Redis) to ensure scalability, resilience, and security in edge deployments and enterprise private cloud settings, while remaining current with the swiftly evolving AI landscape.
- I will engage in hands-on development, conduct code reviews, and solve complex problems to set the standard for code quality and engineering integrity.
- I will lead and mentor a team of software engineers, cultivating a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
- I will collaborate with product managers and clients to convert mission requirements into actionable technical user stories and a clear roadmap.
- I will advocate for Agile Scrum best practices, facilitate technical discussions, and ensure the team meets sprint commitments.
- I will identify and address technical risks, making essential decisions to keep the project aligned with strategic objectives.
- I will stay informed of industry trends in backend development and scalable system design.

In this position, I will be responsible for designing, building, and scaling the backend and API architecture of Operator X, our state-of-the-art cyber defense platform. As the Senior Software Engineer, I will lead development for this crucial platform, shaping its technical vision and architectural growth. The product is currently in active and swift development, adapting to new and challenging production scenarios. My central duty will be to guide the engineering team in continuously expanding and refining the platform's capabilities—enhancing our core appliance and supporting enterprise private clouds. I will take a hands-on approach, mentor team members, advocate for best practices within our Agile framework, and guarantee the delivery of a reliable, secure, and mission-ready product.
