Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Desktop Technician or in a similar IT support role
- Degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred, but not required
- Proficiency in Windows and macOS operating systems
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and remote desktop tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical users
- Commitment to high-quality customer service and support
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks and priorities
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to manufacturing equipment, production software, and network systems
- Provide support for machinery interfaces, industrial automation systems, and other essential production technologies
- Offer on-site and remote assistance to plant staff for technical problems including computer systems, printers, and barcode scanners
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers for repairs and upgrades
- Participate in site-related initiatives to ensure continuous uptime in production manufacturing areas
- Offer expert-level support for desktop hardware, software, and peripherals
- Configure, set up, and deploy desktop computers, laptops, and other IT equipment
- Address high-priority incidents promptly and efficiently to minimize downtime
- Maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventory, service requests, and technical issues
- Provide exceptional customer service by demonstrating patience, empathy, and professionalism in all interactions with end-users
