$113,000 - 168,000
Requirements
Must:
We require a minimum of 4 years of experience in building and maintaining data pipelines or ETL solutions at scale. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, SQL, and experience with RDBMS (PostgreSQL or similar) is essential. You should have experience with object storage (e.g., MinIO), Protocol Buffers, and ZeroMQ, as well as familiarity with Data Version Control (DVC), Delta Lake, and the Medallion Architecture. You will need skills in Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines, along with expertise in infrastructure automation (Terraform/Ansible). A thorough understanding of high-throughput, low-latency systems, fault tolerance, backpressure handling, data governance, versioning, auditing, rollback, and DevSecOps practices is also required. An active DoD Secret Clearance, attention to detail, and strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will design and optimize ETL pipelines capable of handling high-throughput and low-latency data ingestion, particularly during large data bursts. You will implement robust asynchronous processing systems using ZeroMQ for managing large, serialized Protobuf messages and develop systems to efficiently process sudden, large volumes of data while maintaining performance. Additionally, you will design strategies to manage backpressure and develop fault-tolerant systems that safeguard data integrity. Setting up monitoring and alerting mechanisms for proactive responses to sudden changes in data load is also vital. You will build and maintain high-performance databases on our on-premises infrastructure and apply data design patterns, particularly the Medallion Architecture. Furthermore, you will deploy Delta Lake solutions, implement containerization and orchestration solutions using Docker and Kubernetes, build CI/CD pipelines for automated ETL workflows, and ensure compliance with data governance and security protocols.
