Senior Software Engineering Manager

Requirements
Must:
- A current active DoD security clearance
- A Bachelors degree in physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science
- Minimum of four years of relevant professional experience in defense and/or defense-related technology
- Proven capability to lead teams in delivering software applications
- Proficiency in C++ or Python programming languages
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems
- Ability to work full-time in-person at our Boulder, CO office
- Attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Capacity to foster strong team relationships with kindness and empathy
Preferred skills:
- An advanced degree in physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science
- Experience in state estimation, tracking, or Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC)
- Professional background in the analysis of OPIR, E/O, SAR, Spectral, RF, or other remote sensing data
- Experience with application orchestration or cloud deployment
Responsibilities
- Oversee hands-on software delivery for a small team, managing manual and automated builds, testing, packaging, and releases
- Direct end-to-end feature delivery including design, implementation, version control, and release management, ensuring successful quarterly deployments
- Maintain system-level documentation, ensuring it is accessible and detailed for deployment and integration teams
- Identify and assist in addressing cybersecurity vulnerabilities in production software
- Facilitate troubleshooting by replicating issues locally
- Support the creation of detailed Agile program plans based on high-level features from the product owner
- Provide technical guidance aligned with program milestones
- Engage professionally with external collaborators
- Perform other duties as necessary
