Senior Software Engineer - Platform Development

Requirements
Must:
- Active DoD security clearance
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- Over 8 years of professional experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or a similar role
- More than 3 years of experience managing Linux systems
- At least 2 years of experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- A minimum of 2 years of experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with artifact management and version control systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in distributed systems
- Capability to work 100% on-site at a customer location
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
Preferred skills:
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD or similar platforms
- Knowledge in creating and maintaining Helm charts
- Experience with artifact repositories like Artifactory
- Background in integrating systems in government or secure settings
- Understanding of platform security and compliance issues
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers
- Previous customer-facing technical roles experience
Responsibilities
- Act as a platform engineering contributor within an integration team at the customer site
- Facilitate the integration and deployment of applications in containerized PaaS systems
- Design and execute deployment strategies across development, testing, and operational environments
- Build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines for secure and repeatable application delivery
- Integrate development tools for artifact management, automated testing, and code quality/security analysis
- Diagnose issues with deployed applications and platform services; conduct root-cause analysis
- Collaborate with other engineers and team members to resolve technical challenges
- Engage with customer stakeholders to facilitate platform operations and application onboarding
- Contribute to documentation, standards, and best practices for the platform
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and technical discussions
- Promote continuous improvement, automation, and platform reliability initiatives
- Carry out additional duties as assigned
