Requirements
Must:
- Over 2 years of hands-on experience in building and managing Kubernetes environments utilizing Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) 4.x or later
- More than 3 years of experience in administering Linux systems
- Proficient knowledge of Ansible and automation through playbooks
- Strong grasp of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools
- Experience in managing container platforms within secure or regulated settings
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills
- Capability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Significant development or operational experience with Docker, docker-compose, and Kubernetes
- Experience in deploying and managing CI/CD pipelines for DevSecOps (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins)
- Familiarity with creating and managing Ansible playbooks for automation and orchestration
- Experience in securing Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems utilizing DISA SCAP and STIG Viewer
- Knowledge of VMware compute, storage, and networking solutions
- Experience with Dell servers, switches, and SAN technologies
- Scripting proficiency in Bash, Python, or Perl
- Understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions within containerized environments
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) 4.x environments
- Oversee and provide support for Kubernetes clusters, including enhancements, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for consistent platform deployments
- Create, manage, and execute Ansible playbooks for system automation and orchestration
- Enable CI/CD pipelines to facilitate DevSecOps workflows (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins)
- Integrate container platforms with the base compute, storage, and networking infrastructure
- Enforce and uphold security hardening measures according to DoD and DISA standards
- Support compliance efforts, including DISA STIGs, SCAP scans, and necessary remediation
- Monitor the health, performance, and capacity of the platform; identify and resolve issues across the stack
- Collaborate with application teams to onboard, roll out, and enhance containerized workloads
- Document system architectures, configurations, procedures, and operational runbooks
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and cross-disciplinary technical reviews
- Carry out additional duties as assigned
