Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in developing and executing DevOps or DevSecOps solutions utilizing CI/CD methodology.
- Proficient in architecting and implementing application container deployment solutions using Docker, docker-compose, and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS).
- Experience with Istio service mesh and monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
- Demonstrated ability to manage deployment environments for development, testing, and production.
- Knowledge of authentication technologies such as Keycloak.
- At least one year of professional experience working with Python3.
- One year of hands-on experience with Linux operating systems.
- Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or physical sciences.
- Capability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
- Willingness to work entirely onsite.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in software vulnerability scanning through static and dynamic code analysis.
- Background in software vulnerability assessment and remediation utilizing SAST/DAST tools like Sonarqube.
- Proficient in software package artifact management using tools like JFrog Artifactory or Nexus.
- Development experience in Python and C++.
- Familiarity with container security tools such as Grype or Syft.
- Experience in version control practices using Git.
- Systems and service administration experience in a Linux environment, including CI/CD application installation and maintenance such as Gitlab.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the integration, security scanning, and deployment of various applications into coordinated frameworks.
- Collaborate with deployment teams to facilitate deployments across development, testing, and operational environments.
- Design, maintain, and enhance Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines within gitlab-ci.
- Monitor CI pipelines for performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Implement and manage version promotion for one or more applications within the CI pipelines.
- Integrate CI pipelines with development tools for effectively managing artifacts, software testing, and quality assessments.
- Execute Continuous Delivery and perform automated or manual application deployments into orchestrated Kubernetes (k8s) environments.
- Conduct checks and resolve issues related to deployed applications in both development and production settings.
- Carry out software release processes, including branch creation, integration, and testing.
- Implement and maintain Helm charts.
- Ensure adherence to cybersecurity protocols.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
