Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Over 7 years of experience in a Network/Infrastructure Engineer role.
- Minimum of 3 years in a senior engineering capacity.
- Preferred certifications: CCNA, Azure Admin, CompTIA A+.
- Proven project experience, including migrations and software integrations.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity incident response and breach prevention tools like Crowdstrike and ThreatLocker.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Hands-on experience with VMware Horizon View (VDI) and VMware ESXi clusters/vCenter, VMware certifications highly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Capacity to resolve practical problems effectively with both customers and team members.
- Ability to maintain professionalism in all interactions.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and uphold hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructures (Azure/Entra ID, Active Directory, networking).
- Administer and enhance VMware virtualization environments, including Horizon View (VDI) and ESXi clusters (HA/DRS, storage management, vCenter).
- Oversee endpoint security tools (Crowdstrike, ThreatLocker, Abnormal AI) and carry out vulnerability assessments and incident responses.
- Assist in significant projects such as software rewrites, homebrew application support, and tailored integrations.
- Manage network expansions for new offices, hardware setups, and vendor collaborations for 10 or more locations.
- Provide advanced support for helpdesk inquiries, including participating in after-hours on-call rotations.
- Develop and document operational runbooks, escalation protocols, and security measures.
- Assess and integrate third-party vendors for managed services and backup solutions.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the IT strategy with potential leadership opportunities.
- Perform any additional responsibilities as directed by management.
